It's Friday!

As such, I'm leveling with you : last night work intruded in my great and shining plan to make my poll. Rather than post it half-ass, I decided to do it on Monday. The KOAHS and I are going on a road trip to Leipzig this weekend, to the DH. I'm looking forward to it...I'm of course going to take a *little* bit of collar stuff to work on, but not much. This is a pure leisure trip. Boy am I looking forward to that!

In other collar news, I got the tiny beads from the US I had waited for (although not yet the KOAHS noseband). They'll go great on the cat collars, and I'm working on the details.

I managed to completely finish one collar last night...the one with the velcro. It's spiffy. At the end (in deference to all these people that want a bell) I put groups of three Indian anklet bells on the ends of the beads. Looks okay, and sounds ... well ... very bell-y. Perfect for the sort of person that likes bells on their cat.

What is it about KITTY and DOGGIE? Altho I must say, I see it much more with cats than I do with dogs. Why would you want to demean your cat by calling him a kitty? Maybe it's just a personal thing...I'm a writer and editor and certain things make me cringe. SUCH AS KITTY. Might as well pop me across the head with a two-by-four.

I've seen it on many sites...trying to be cute, they throw in a "kitty" into the mix. Stick with cat or kitten and give the animal the respect it deserves. Once tamed, always tamed, okay, but at least don't turn it into a Sesame Street character by calling it a kitty. Good Dog.

Don't even get me started on DOGGIE.
